Senior Portraits at Crane Beach in Ipswich, MA | Golden Hour Beach Portraits

For this senior portrait session I headed to Crane Beach in Ipswich, MA. We met up on a gorgeous summer evening, just before golden hour, and we were lucky enough to have incredible light. Most beaches are perfect for senior portraits, but Crane Beach was exceptionally beautiful and we were able to get some incredible photos without walking too far from the car. I’ll definitely be returning for another photoshoot soon! Reach out to book your session today if you’re interested in a portrait or engagement session at Crane Beach.

Portrait Photography on the Back Shore | Gloucester, MA

Cape Ann is often considered to be one of the most beautiful places in the world. From it’s remarkable seascapes to the quaint and unique towns. There’s a lot to love about Cape Ann, especially for photographers. The most difficult part about Sarah’s portrait session was deciding on a location. I had considered going to one of the historic lighthouses or wandering around Bearskin Neck, in Rockport, but we decided that the Back Shore in Gloucester was the perfect spot. We had a blast exploring and climbing rocks! I just love the way Sarah’s gorgeous blue eyes and dress (with pockets!) create contrast with the natural background. I will be returning to the Back Shore for more photos again soon!

This senior portrait session in Boston was special to me on a few different levels. You see, Will is my younger cousin and I was a teenager when he was born, so it’s really weird that he is about to graduate from high school! Back when I had just gotten my first camera and began calling myself a photographer my aunt had hired me to take photos of Will for their annual Christmas card, for many years. It was always great looking through those photos year after year, not only showing how Will grew as a child, but they were great for showing my growth as a photographer. Once he outgrew holiday card modelling we had stopped, but we all knew that for Will’s senior photos we needed to get back into Boston and make some epic portraits.
