During our initial phone call Ashley and Todd expressed they would love snowy engagement photos. So, we jumped at the first opportunity and were not disappointed. As a wedding photographer, I love providing my couples with unique experiences and photos, and I’ve found the weather is a fun tool to create interesting engagement photos.

As the snow falls, my 2025 season officially begins with an adventurous engagement session at The Basin, in Lincoln, New Hampshire. When I was about fifteen minutes away I noticed a few snowflakes coming down, and I knew that it was the perfect day for Victoria and Jason’s engagement photos. I just love when the weather works in our favor. I don’t mean a perfectly clear sky or golden sunset, those are always nice, but I also love when it downpours, or when it’s foggy, or when it is beginning to snow. It adds something to the experience and is a great way of making your engagement photos stand out.
Fall Couples Photography Session for Newlyweds, Sarah & Alex (with Tucker and Bear) at the Urban Forestry Center in Portsmouth, NH
Sarah and Alex were unable to include their adorable Corgis in their wedding earlier in the year. Which is something many pet owners face when they are planning their own weddings. While the Pup-of-Honor can steal the show and make the day extra special for the couple, they are, unfortunately, not allowed at all venues or parks. That’s why it was very important for the couple that we found a location that was dog friendly.
Romantic Engagement Photography at Bancroft’s Castle | Rainy Engagement Session
I’m still blown away by romance of Chelsea and Ryan’s rain-soaked engagement session at Bancroft’s Castle in Groton, MA! I knew that they were a perfect match for me when, despite the pouring rain, they were down and excited to go on an adventure and create some epic engagement photos. We explored the ruins of Bancroft’s Castle, which provided the perfect backdrop for this adventurous couple.

My exceptional engagement season continues with Mikayla and Stephen’s incredible engagement photography session at Coughlin Park in Winthrop, Massachusetts. The park was across from Boston and Logan Airport, which created a truly remarkable background for their engagement session. Throughout the session many planes were taking off from the airport and they brought the photos to another level. I had so much fun trying to get the timing just right.
Spring Engagement Photography During Peak Bloom in Portsmouth, NH with Hannah and Ben
My year officially began with Hannah and Ben’s exceptional engagement session in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The rainy weekends in April meant we had to reschedule a few times, but it was well worth the wait because we had perfect weather and they performed magically in front of the camera. We had a simple plan to meet at Strawberry Banke and wander around the area. While scouting the area, before they arrived, I discovered there were a few small parks were scattered, all with their own charms which were perfect for engagement photography. Hannah and Ben brought their love and passion as we hopped from park to park in downtown Portsmouth and together we created some stunning engagement photos. I had an incredible time working with them and can’t wait for their wedding in December!

My favorite part about being a wedding photographer is that I am constantly discovering unique and beautiful love stories, each with its own defining moments and special places. For Sarah and Ryan, these moments and memories were made at Franklin Pierce University, where their love story began. With their wedding on the horizon, the couple chose to return to the campus that brought them together, reliving their love story in a gorgeous engagement session.
Sheridan & Shail’s Romantic Engagement Session in the Heart of Boston
Boston is gorgeous city, full of rich history and iconic architecture. It’s also an incredibly romantic city full of happy couples taking advantage of all Boston has to offer, from dinner in the North End to museum hopping. When Sheridan and Shail had expressed interest in doing their engagement photos at the Boston Public Library, I couldn’t wait to begin working with them because I have been longing to revisit the library for another photoshoot. Our session in the library ended before it really got started, unfortunately, but as an experienced photographer I had multiple options to quickly provide my couple with as strong alternatives. Sheridan and Shail’s engagement session took us from the beautiful Boston Public Library to the bustling Newbury Street and ended at the always incredible Boston Public Gardens.
