My Favorite Locations for Engagement Photos in New England

I always love working with my couples with finding the best location for their engagement session. Most of the time couples don’t really have an idea for the location but that’s never a problem. Working to find the best location for engagement photos is the perfect way of getting to know you.

The best locations are the ones that create a setting that match with the your vibe. Some common settings for your engagement session could include exploring downtown, hiking to a scenic view, sunrise on the beach, cooking a meal together at home (perfect for my shy couples), or strolling through a park. Some place meaningful in your relationship, like your first date, the location of the proposal, or somewhere your friends will call “so you!”, create the best results.

My Wish-List locations for engagement photos include...

  • Artist’s Bluff | White Mountains

  • Newport Mansions | Newport, RI

  • Back Shore | Gloucester, MA

  • Tarbin Gardens | Franklin, NH

  • Madame Sherri House | Chesterfield, NH

Engagement photos are like tasting the catering but with your photographer. It’s a great way to get to know the person you are going to be spending most of your wedding day with, and at the end of it you’ll wind up with some great photos of you and the person you are going to be marrying. Engagement photos can be used for all sorts of things during your wedding day, including save-the-date cards and decor for your reception. Many wedding photographers, myself included, may offer a free engagement session with their wedding packages and you should definitely take advantage of it.
